Holland & Barrett, one of Europe’s largest health and wellness retailers, is partnering with EiQ by LRQA to optimise supplier development and site improvement with EiQ’s digital learning offering.
EiQ’s digital learning (eLearning) provides scalable supply chain training courses to help businesses and their suppliers meet regulatory requirements and manage ESG risks. With this partnership, Holland & Barrett’s employees and suppliers will have access to a digital library, which includes hundreds of high-quality, interactive video courses that are available in multiple languages and cover key sustainability topics.
‘’Compliance is not enough. Training is important for supplier development and our own teams by increasing jointly our capabilities in Holland & Barrett. EiQ training will empower suppliers to identify and neutralise operational and reputational risks related to environmental, social, and governance issues,"
EiQ’s specialised courses are designed to educate employees, supplier management and vendor companies to understand:
• Supply chain risks and ethical sourcing strategies
• How to align internal and supplier operations with regulatory requirements
• How to onboard new suppliers and promote supplier ownership
• How to prepare suppliers for assessments and support remediation efforts
Holland & Barrett has a variety of suppliers, ranging from large to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The training is currently being rolled out in phases to H&B suppliers with the aim to improve their performance and align management with H&B standards. This has particularly been beneficial for SMEs who have less access to resources. The training is proving beneficial for supply chain compliance, costs, quality of products, time it takes to deliver and improving customer satisfaction.
The training will help develop wide-ranging corporate social responsibility programmes for H&B and its suppliers, including management systems, establishing social and environmental standards, self-assessment protocols, corrective action plans and partnership agreements that seek to address grievances and support risk monitoring.
EiQ’s digital learning will also support improving buyer knowledge and awareness, which H&B believes will help in supplier selection and compliance in their facilities.
